Open Menus#

• Open File opens one .yml menu.
• Open KaMenu Folder loads the complete plugins/KaMenu workspace.
• Files appear as tabs. Middle-click a tab to close it quickly.

Editing Assistance#

• Structure: displays the menu hierarchy and highlights source when selected.
• Syntax Library: displays entries valid at the caret, such as action modules inside actions.
• Problems: lists syntax issues; drag its edge vertically to resize it.
• Syntax Highlighting: distinguishes keys, strings, numbers, booleans, color codes, and comments.

Moving the caret refreshes the Syntax Library and toolbar editor buttons. Inserted syntax follows the current indentation.

Save and External Changes#

Press Ctrl+S to save. If the server or another editor is using the workspace, the app avoids waiting indefinitely. Retry after the other process releases an exclusively locked file.

For a menu opened from Advanced UI, the advanced display area is maintained by export while all other menu sections remain editable.
