Workspace Overview

The top bar switches between YML Editor and Advanced UI. Settings and the user center are in the upper-right corner.

YML Editor#

Use it to edit complete KaMenu menus:

  • File tabs, workspace tree, and recent workspaces.
  • YAML highlighting, Problems, Structure, and Syntax Library panels.
  • Native Dialog visual preview.
  • Action queue and single-action editors.

Advanced UI#

Use it to create glyph-based menus:

  • Background and Free layout modes.
  • Rectangular buttons, hover text, and click actions.
  • Pixel editor, image import, text layers, and multiple layers.
  • Effect preview, project files, and three resource-plugin export targets.

Common Operations#

  • Ctrl+S: save the active workspace.
  • Ctrl+Z: undo in the active editor.
  • Middle-click a YML tab: close it.
  • Closing the app prompts before discarding unsaved work.
  • The app tracks recent projects and offers recovery after an abnormal exit.
